The Visible Village ~ William P. Baldwin

     McClellanville is a fishing village located on the South Carolina coast forty miles north of Charleston. It is a small place, less than 500 people. "a place where nothing changes- a place where nothing happens."  At least that's how it would appear to an outsider. But a greal deal happens, and the Village of today, though tranquil and beautiful, has changed in many ways. What follows is a scrapbook, a collection of odds and ends from which I've attempted to edit a reality--that is tell the story of this earlier place and time.
